Just got back from an epic golf weekend at Shanty Creek in Bellaire, MI! We got to play Cedar River GC while we were there, and let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing! So, let’s dive in… But first, big shoutout to Ben and Dan for having me! 🍻

Cedar River is a masterpiece designed by the legend himself, Tom Weiskopf. This course is not just player-friendly; it’s downright enjoyable with its wide fairways (thankfully) and natural glacial landscapes. It's like Mother Nature designed it herself for golf lovers.

Opened in 1999, Cedar River features 6,980 yard par 72 course is pure golfing bliss. The bent grass fairways and greens are pristine, and the scenic views are to die for. It’s no wonder it’s been named one of the Top 100 Resort Courses by Golf Week!

What really stands out? The impeccable maintenance, the forrest lined fairways, and of course the delightful 19th hole. 🍻 Perfect spot to kick back and relax after navigating those tricky elevation changes and watch the rest of your group on the 18th green.

Whether you're an advanced golfer or just looking for a scenic round, Cedar River is a must-play.

Xander Schauffele won his first major title at the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club with a dramatic birdie putt on the 18th hole, finishing at 21-under 263. He narrowly beat Bryson DeChambeau, who finished second.

On May 17, 2024, Scottie Scheffler was arrested near Valhalla Golf Club before the PGA Championship's second round due to a traffic incident linked to a fatal accident investigation. Charged with assaulting a police officer, Scheffler managed to make his tee time and shot a 5-under 66, staying in contention for the tournament​.

During the PGA Championship, Bryson DeChambeau tossed a ball to a young fan, but an older man intercepted it. DeChambeau noticed, called out the man, and insisted the ball be given to the child, earning applause for his sportsmanship.

The 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, TX, starts tomorrow. The field isn’t the strongest after the major but it should still be some entertaining golf!
