GOLF HUSTLE: Scheffler Dominates PGA Championship, Takes Home $3.4M Prize

TL;DR: World #1 Scottie Scheffler (-11) ran away with the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, winning by 5 strokes over Harris English, Bryson DeChambeau, and Davis Riley (all at -6). It's his third major championship and puts him in rarefied air alongside Tiger and Jack.
The Bull Market: Scottie Scheffler's stock continues to soar. Two weeks after dismantling the field at the Byron Nelson, Scheffler added a $3.42M payday at Quail Hollow to his already bulging portfolio. This win adds to his two Masters titles, making him just the third golfer ever (alongside Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus) to collect three majors and 15 PGA Tour victories before turning 29.
Comeback Kid: Sunday wasn't all smooth sailing for the world's top-ranked player. Despite starting with a three-stroke lead, Scheffler's struggles off the tee had him tied with Jon Rahm by the 11th hole. But while others crashed on the notorious "Green Mile" finishing stretch, Scheffler executed a flawless back nine, shooting 34 to close the deal.
Bear Market Report:
Jon Rahm imploded with a brutal 5-over stretch on the final three holes, dropping him from contention to T8
Bryson DeChambeau ("baffled" by his second consecutive PGA Championship runner-up) is already teasing "tricks up my sleeve" and equipment changes for the upcoming U.S. Open
Defending champ Xander Schauffele (+1) finished T28, never threatening
Half the world's top 10 missed the cut entirely, including Jordan Spieth, Jason Day, and Brooks Koepka

By the Numbers:
$19M: Total purse (up $1.5M from 2023)
5: Strokes Scheffler won by, matching his dominance from the Byron Nelson two weeks ago
16-17-18: The infamous "Green Mile" closing holes that chewed up contenders (players collectively went 488 strokes over par this year)
273: Scheffler's winning score (-11), with rounds of 69-68-65-71
What's Next: The golf world now turns its attention to the U.S. Open, where Scheffler will look to continue his major championship tear. Meanwhile, DeChambeau's cryptic comments about a "straighter flying golf ball" suggest potential equipment innovations are brewing in his lab.
Bottom Line: Just one year after his arrest and mug shot at last year's PGA Championship (which became a popular Halloween costume), Scheffler has established himself as the undisputed king of golf. His level of dominance has Wall Street types wondering: how do we buy stock in this guy?
