Unsolicited Golf Tips

Take the bite out of rising vet costs with pet insurance

Veterinarians across the country have reported pressure from corporate managers to prioritize profit. This incentivized higher patient turnover, increased testing, and upselling services. Pet insurance could help you offset some of these rising costs, with some providing up to 90% reimbursement.

Scottie Scheffler Is a Cheat Code 🏌️‍♂️

Scottie Scheffler just did something that only Tiger Woods has done in the past 25 years – and honestly, we're starting to think this guy might be playing a different sport than everyone else.

The Memorial Became Scheffler's Personal ATM (Again)

This weekend at Jack Nicklaus's Muirfield Village, Scheffler defended his Memorial Tournament title and made it look about as difficult as ordering coffee. He cruised to a 4-stroke victory at 10-under par, pocketing a cool $4 million from the tournament's massive $20 million purse.

But here's the kicker – Scheffler is now the first player since Tiger's legendary three-peat (1999-2001) to win back-to-back Memorial titles. When you're being mentioned in the same breath as prime Tiger, you know you're doing something right.

The Numbers Don't Lie (And They're Ridiculous)

Let's talk about Scheffler's current hot streak, because it's borderline offensive to other professional golfers:

  • 3 wins in his last 4 tournaments

  • 9 straight victories when leading after 54 holes(seriously, when this guy has the lead going into Sunday, just send everyone else home)

  • $11.847 million earned in his last 4 events alone

  • 106 consecutive weeks at #1 in the world

Oh, and fun fact: Scheffler has now reached his 16th PGA Tour win faster than everyone except Sam Snead, Jack Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods. No big deal, just casual GOAT territory.

Ben Griffin Almost Pulled Off the Upset of the Century

Give credit where it's due – Ben Griffin, who's having his own breakout year with wins at the Charles Schwab Challenge and Zurich Classic, actually made things interesting. The 29-year-old led by 5 strokes earlier in the week and started Sunday just one shot back.

Griffin even had some spicy pre-tournament trash talk, calling Scheffler "a video game golfer" but adding that "video game golfers can be beat". Spoiler alert: they usually can't. Griffin finished second at 6-under and earned $2.2 million for his troubles, which isn't exactly a consolation prize.

Plot Twist: Rory Was a No-Show

In a move that probably had Jack Nicklaus raising an eyebrow, Rory McIlroy skipped the Memorial for the first time in 8 years6. McIlroy opted to avoid playing three straight weeks and is saving his energy for the upcoming U.S. Open.

Translation: Even Rory knew Scheffler was going to win this thing and decided to spend his weekend doing literally anything else.

What's Next?

The PGA Tour now heads to the RBC Canadian Open, where Robert MacIntyre will try to defend his title. No Scheffler, so its anyones tournament to win!

At this point, the only question isn't whether Scheffler will win, but by how much. The man has turned professional golf into his personal highlight reel, and frankly, we're here for it.

Bottom line: Scottie Scheffler is having the kind of year that makes other pros question their life choices. And with $4 million richer in his bank account this week, he's probably sleeping just fine.
