Golf Trip

We are changing thigs up a bit this week, let me know how you like it!

The Legend Golf Course at Shanty Creek in Bellaire, Michigan, isn't just any course—it's an Arnold Palmer gem that delights and challenges. Nestled among stunning Lake Bellaire views and lush forests, this par-72 sprawls across 6,764 yards of pure joy (or frustration 😂).

Put on your golf shoes and tackle the rolling terrains and clever elevation changes that Palmer brilliantly crafted. Each hole is a narrative, you have to play it the way Arnold Palmer wanted you to, or you will easily find trouble!

Watch out for crafty bunkers and water hazards that spice up each shot. The fairways are lush corridors leading to impeccably smooth greens, ready to trick you with their sneaky slopes and false fronts.

A standout is the 7th hole—a daunting par-5 with water off the tee and then you are tested again against a water-guarded green. It’s one of those holes that will make or break your font 9.

The Legend isn’t just for playing; it's for enjoying spectacular views, challenging yourself, and making memories. Whether you’re a serious golfer or here for laughs, it delivers top-notch scenery, excitement, and stories worth sharing.

PGA News

Now onto the 2024 RBC Heritage—it was quite the event, packed with standout performances.

Scottie Scheffler really stole the show, securing a victory with an impressive 19-under 265. Despite a lengthy weather delay that forced a Monday finish, Scheffler came back focused and wrapped up his win with a bogey on the 72nd hole. That’s back to back wins for Scheffler netting him almost $7 million in 2 weeks 🤯

Wyndham Clark (T-3) also lit up the course with some spectacular play. He chalked up an eagle and eight birdies during the 4th round, pushing himself right up near the lead. Unfortunately he carded 2 bogeys and a double down the stretch, which left the door wide open for Scottie. None-the-less it was one of those performances that remind you why we love this game—pure skill and excitement.

Then there’s Sahith Theegala (2nd), who definitely made his mark. His bold and strategic play throughout the tournament was a treat to watch. He's got that knack for big moments, and his performance was a clear indication he’s a player to watch. Not to mention the nearly 30 foot birdie he made on 16 to keep him locked into 2nd place.

Overall, the 2024 RBC Heritage was a mix of strategy, skill, and dramatic turns. It wasn’t just about hitting the ball; it was about making the right plays at the right time. And as @barstooltrent said on Twitter/X “If your golf event gives out an article of clothing to the winner, look the **** out for Scottie Scheffler”

LPGA News

Up until now we have only talked about the PGA, we are trying to change that and what better time than now. When Nelly Korda is absolutely dominating!

How about that championship cannon ball form though?! Golf needs more of this IMO!!

Nelly Korda just clinched her fifth consecutive victory at the Chevron Championship, continuing her astonishing streak. Her performance was nothing short of dominant as she won by 3 stokes. Throughout the tournament, her game was on point; she consistently hit key shots and maintained her composure under pressure, which is becoming her trademark.

This latest win at the Chevron Championship not only showcases her consistency and skill but also solidifies her status as a top player in women's golf. Her ability to perform consistently across different courses and conditions speaks volumes about her adaptability and focus.

Korda’s victory was well-earned as she battled through the final rounds, demonstrating strategic play and resilience. With this win, she's not just making headlines—she’s writing her name into the history books of golf with a remarkable run of victories.

This winning streak of five consecutive tournaments is a rare feat in golf, reflecting both her exceptional talent and mental strength. Each win seems to further her momentum, making her one of the most exciting players to watch on the tour right now.

Golf Stuff We Need..

When you chunk as many shots as I do, this bad boy will be well used…

The Jiskan pro brush is the last golf club brush you will ever need. The durable build and the strong bristles make cleaning your clubs a breeze. And with the retainer clip you can always have it attached to your bag for quick access.

Just fill the tube up with water pre round, then all you have to do is squeeze and scrub. It makes it easier than ever to keep your groves clean each and every shot!
